Berry Picking at Krause Berry Farms Langley

My obsession with Krause Berry Farms runs deep, so deep that I actually plan my summers around their berry schedule. COVID-19 did throw a bit of a wrench in my plans, but everyone adapted, so I did get my fill of sweet juicy BC berries. Krause Berry Farms has become part of my normal summer routine and it is about time you did the same.

For starters, Krause Berry Farms is so much more than just a u-pick farm/ berry market.

MARKET | on any given day, it is brimming with baked treats, fruit syrups, fresh produce - also grown at the farm! - cute homeware and more. The market is also stocked with fruit and berry pies all of which are made on-site by a team of grannies and younglings in training. You can watch the pie-making action through the window on the porch out front.

ESTATE WINERY | Perhaps one of the most epic wine tasting bars ever because you get to sit on vintage leather worse saddles. So you get to saddle up to the bar where you can taste a plethora of Krause's award-winning fruit wines in adorable cowboy boat-shaped glasses. Also on offer is corn pizza, nachos, soups, corn chowders and light sandwiches. Everything is Vegetarian because they exclusively use what is grown on the farm itself, so move aside meat lovers because this is Veggie goodness.

WAFFLE BAR | aka my favourite section of the farm! Fluffy warm waffles are piled ridiculously high with Krause's berries before getting a giant mound of real whipped cream and a drizzle of fruit syrup. Berry topping change with the harvest schedule so you have a 1 in 3 chance of sliced strawberries, whole raspberries or whole blueberries. In the fall, cooked cinnamon apples and pumpkin pie waffles are thrown into the mix.

Also on the property is a children's playground, u-pick flower garden and well miles and miles of berry fields because no duh.

Honestly, if you have not visited Krause Berry Farms, you are really missing out on the best berries, waffles and overall summer farm vibes.
