I Accidentally Crashed a Colgate PR Event in Toronto

Spot the Colgate by the phones!

When I attend PR/media events it is because I have been sent an invitation to do so or joined as a plus one to someone who has been invited. In anticipation of my trip to Toronto, I made a list of boutiques, cafes and restaurants that I need to visit. Majesty's Pleasure was at the very top of my must-visit places in Toronto.

Majesty's Pleasure combines spa services with cocktails. They have two locations which are both ornately decorated including a full cocktail bar. The couple behind Majesty's Pleasure wanted to create a space where you can indulge in self-care because they strongly believe releases endorphins which make you happy! Majesty's Pleasure is primarily known for their nail treatments, so I planned to sit back and relax with a cocktail while getting my toes painted.

After enjoying an early lunch at Oretta, my cousin and I ventured down the street to Majesty's Pleasure's King Street location only to find a sign on the door stating they were closed for a private event. This was my last day in Toronto, so as if I was going to leave without popping my head in. Like I always say, "You will never know unless you try."

Needless to say, they allowed me to pop in to take some shameless blogger pictures with their pretty Rosé-coloured dial phones that they cutely refer to as their Champagne hotlines. They did have a dial-tone, but I did not think to make an outgoing call from them.

A quick glance around it became very obvious that Majesty's Pleasure was closed for a private influencer event for Colgate's Whitening Toothpaste. Red cushions with the brands Colgate logo were scattered throughout the space as well as lots and lots of tubes of Colgate! Whoopsies!

Even though I did get my foot in the door and take a few quick cute photos for my blog, I still left with massive regret because I did not get to try any of their fancy cocktails.

Gauvalicious | Casamigos blanco tequila, guava puree, lemon juice, simple, mint and presecco.

Jungle Bird | Jamiacan rum, Campari, pineapple, lime, simple

To ensure this place would be a complete millennial experience, Majesty's Pleasure's cocktail bar has various Kombuchas, Boosters and Cold-Pressed Juices.

Anyone care for an Immune booster filled with anti-inflammatory goodness called the "Fiery Ginger" (ginger, orange, lemon, turmeric, black pepper extract and oregano extract). I know I could go for one right this moment.

The Media company that planned the event sure got a quick out of it and as a result we were able to build a connection, so maybe in the future, I will be an attendee versus crashee.
