Gift Guide for the Boys, Guys & Gentleman in your Life

Shopping for men can be a bit tricky because they are often so indifferent and nonchalant about everything. How do you shop for a person who is happy with everything? That is not good enough for me. I want them to be wowed and excited by the gift. I hope this gift guide will spark some ideas for you.

As the old adage goes, "the way to a man's heart is through his stomach." Every guy I know is absolutely infatuated with cooking meat. The meat cooking device they are all fawning over is the Dash sous vide circulator. According to my male friends, cooking meat via sous vide makes for a more tender, evenly cooked and importantly a juicy piece of meat because the meat is cooked in a vacuum-sealed pouch of its own juices.

While on the top of fancy tech, speakers and headphones are always a good bet. I really love the speakers and headphones from Marshall. For something different, the Crosley Cruiser Turntables are neat which I am sure any hipster guy in your life would enjoy. For the guy that needs to continuously remain plugged in, Pinch Provisions makes a tech kit. The cute little pouch holds headphones, charging cord, a phone stand and screen cleaner.

Backpacks are always a safe bet and if he is need of a new one, there are several to choose from, but my top two picks would be the Herschel Travel Daypack and the Lululemon Cruiser. I love supporting Vancouver-based companies and both Herschel and Lululemon began in my hometown! The travel pack from Herschel has been designed with a sleek silhouette and multiple compartments to make tech easily accessible. The Lululemon Cruiser was the backpack I used all through my undergrad and it is beloved by thousands. Unfortunately, the quality has significantly decreased and no longer comes in the wicked bright colours, the Lululemon Cruiser still remains one of the best functional backpacks on the market.

If your man is beyond his backpack carrying days, then you might want to consider a fancy briefcase and no, not the hard-shelled luggage-thing from a decade prior. These new briefs come with a shoulder strap and are a sleek way to carry a laptop and work papers. I love the ones from Coach as they are made from premium leathers, but this does mean they come with a hefty price tag; however, if cared for, Coach products last a very long time.

For all the hipster hype-boi's, I am certain they will appreciate the Gentleman's Hardware Sneaker Cleaning Kit because they gotta keep their kick's fresh. It all comes in an easy to carry tin, so they can bring it along with them in case of a sneaker emergency. The sweats from Roots are legendary and over their years they have updated their silhouettes. I adore the slim fit and this particular one with the banded ankles.

Let me know if this gift guide helps you out. I would love to know what you end up getting your man!
