Gift Guide for Gals, Girls & Females in your life

This gift guide inadvertently turned into a partial wishlist of mine because I kept thinking, I am a female, so what would I want to receive as a present? Then I became overwhelmed because I felt my gift guide was not diverse enough in price point, so I added additional items that are not pictured above, but can be found at the bottom of the post. I tried to select items that are functional and can be used long-term. Hopefully, my gift guide will help you procure the perfect present!

Smash + Tess is a Vancouver-based company that specializes in comfortable rompers made with a bamboo cotton blend. This summer I had picked up their Play Set in Billy Jean Blue and I am obsessed with it. Hoping to pick-up one of Smash + Tess' Sunday Rompers soon. Another Canadian brand, Roots, makes the best sweats and their updated silhouettes include slim-fit styles like the Cabin sweats with cuffed ankles.

There is always a new health trend and I would say for 2020, we are going to be seeing and hearing more about weighted blankets. The Wellness Weighted Blanket by Indigo comes in 15 lbs, 20 lbs and 25 lbs. I do not have too much knowledge of weighted blankets; however, if you are considering one, Indigo is always a great choice as their products are always of great quality.

I am obsessed with yellow gold and the more karats the better! It goes without saying that I am a massive fan of the fine jewelry trend. I have been doing a lot of research on Canadian fine jewellers and the two that I have fallen in love with are Poppy Finch and Sofia Zakia. Poppy Finch is Vancouver-based and all their pieces are hand-crafted at their Vancouver studio. They use a lot of natural Keshi pearls in their pieces, really highlighting the beautiful shapes pearls come in including petal pearls. Officially obsessed with petal pearl pieces. Sofia Zakia makes her pieces out of her Montreal studio. Her pieces are unique, unlike anything I have ever seen before. If you love mystical magic voodoo auras and energies, well then you are going become obsessed with Sofia Zakia's pieces. I am currently saving up for the Ouiji Planchette 14 kt solid gold earrings that have a white opal setting - my birthstone!

For any makeup or skincare enthusiast, I would look into the Cooluli Thermoelectric Beauty Fridge. It is always best to keep your skincare and makeup in a cool spot to reduce the deterioration of active ingredients. And if all else fails, they can use the fridge to stash their snacks haha. If you are willing to splurge, I am sure they would appreciate the Buttercup blowdryer from DryBar as it is lifechanging. I have a thick head of hair and sometimes my hair takes forever to dry, so I started using microfiber towels, in particular, the Aquis hair turban. It really cuts down on hair drying time for me.

This might be a weird gift to give, but I thought the So Young Linen Lunch Bag was really cute and I am certain they would get lots of use out of it. I also think a knitting kit by Wool and the Gang would make a lovely gift. Last year I got one from Loopy Mango and though I never completed my project, I really enjoyed the rhythmic motion of knitting.

You can never go wrong with gifting skincare. For body lotion, I highly recommend Khiel's Creme de Corps. I have used it for years now and take my word for it, best body moisturizer ever. For my face, I prefer moisturizers from Aesop, particularly the mandarin facial hydrating cream

I have a couple more quick gift suggestions. The Italian Herb planter kit would make a lovely gift for someone who loves to cook at home. Now they will have access to fresh herbs year-round to use in their pasta sauces. To be completely honest, I have no idea what the Astrology of You and Me is about, but the cover is beautiful and could make a great coffee book. I love matcha and the matcha shaker seems like a neat gadget to make the process of making matcha at home a little easier.

It is hard to include everything in one gift guide without it becoming extremely long. I have done a gift guide for the Guys in your life as well as gifts under $50.

I hope this gift guide helps you in your search for the perfect gift whether it be for a birthday, holiday or just because you feel like giving your friend a present.
